4. AGRICULTURE 


Promise 1 - Warehouse Network 

Today, India can store only 53% of our total foodgrain production which is quite less compared to 130% in other countries.


Conclusion - NOT FULFILLED ❌



Promise 2 - Digital Land Records 

Till January 2024 about 94% of digitization have been done and it is estimated to be completed by end of March 2024.



Conclusion - FULFILLED ✅


Promise 3 - Double Farmer Income 

No such increment has been witnessed in farmer's income. However , there was 1.5% decrease due to pandemic.


Conclusion - NOT FULFILLED ❌


Promise 4 - Pension Scheme For Farmers 

Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maandhan Yojana , pension to be given to small and marginal farmers over the age of 60.

More than 1.9 millions already registered.


Conclusion - FULFILLED ✅


Promise 5 - Irrigation Projects 

Under Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana , about 47% of the work has been completed.


Conclusion - PARTIALLY FULFILLED


Promise 6 - Creation of 10,000 Farmer Producer Organizations

Till November 2023, nearly 7600 FPOs (Farmer Producer Organizations) were registered leading to the achievement of 76% of the target.


Conclusion - ON TRACK ✅


Promise 7 - PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana 

This scheme is to provide financial support to farmers owning land up to 2 hectares. An amount of Rs. 6000 are transferred to farmers account annually  in 3 instalments of Rs 2000.

Till June 2023, around 23 Lakh farmers have been enrolled.


Conclusion - FULFILLED ✅ 


Promise 8 - PM Matsya Sampada Yojana

This scheme was introduced for assisting fishermen. The project was launched in 2020 worth Rs. 20,050 Crores. There was a increase of 111% in seafood export despite  pandemic.

Fish production was increased from 95 Lakhs in FY14 to 162 Lakhs in FY22. Fisheries sector growth rate was 8.61% from 2013-14 to 2021-22.



Conclusion - FULFILLED ✅




Overall in Agriculture BJP has not been able to fulfill all the promises but efforts are being made in the right direction.

MOVING TO THE NEXT SECTOR  5. HEALTH Promise 1 - Establishment of 1.5 Lakh health and wellness Centers under Ayushman Bharat  Till date about 1.7 Lakh centers are operational across the nation providing free essential medications and diagnostic services. Conclusion - FULFILLED ✅ Promise 2 - Poshan Abhiyaan Objective was to reduce malnutrition, anaemia, low birth weight and stunting. Anganwadi centers has been established but out of 14 Lakh centers currently 11 Lakh have functional toilets and 12.2 Lakh have drinking water. With the help of Poshan Abhiyaan, stunting has decreased from 38.4 % to 35.5% , wasting has decreased from 21.0% to 19.3% and underweight prevalence has decreased from 35.8% to 32.1% Conclusion - ON TRACK ✅ Promise 3 - Elimination Of Tuberculosis (TB) In India TB incidence reduced by 16% in 2022 compared to 2015, but it is still far from WHO target.
